Meet Kim
Just like her clients, Kim has also experienced many conflicting feelings that didn’t make sense, given her upbringing. She felt low self-esteem, no sense of self, doubtful, and scared. These things effected her relationships and success. Knowing that she desired more for herself and relationships, she yielded to the calling to dive into resources that could help her.
She knew she wanted to be a therapist but not until she began to do the hard work within herself. She found a great therapist that helped her discover the small, but many compounding experiences that organized her felt sense of insecurity and mistrust in the world. It was through her own trials that she found the passion to help others to not only discover their narrative, but to rewrite it in its entirety.
Personal therapy helped her build a safe base to allow herself to explore her deepest fears and greatest joys. It helped her to understand her values and beliefs so they can help reflect back to her how she can live more congruent with her values. Therapy helped put words and feelings to her experiences that she previously found hard to explain. Therapy offered a corrective relational experience that she lacked growing up.
Havening, specifically helped her find freedom from a past trauma that kept vibrantly living in her present, affecting the way she lived her life, getting in the way of her thriving. That memory is now just a memory and no longer has the energy or negative presence that weighed heavy her mind.

“The role of the therapist is to reflect the being/accepting self that was never allowed to be in the borderline.”
